TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to hair and makeup services provided by Zuandri Jonker ‘Edge Beauty’ to you. Upon booking a hair and makeup application with Edge Beauty Makeup Artistry, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

MAKING A BOOKING

Booking a hair and makeup application can be made up to 1 day before if places are still available. Booking is fully secure upon email confirmation of payment of a deposit via making the booking through the following link or through Zuandri directly.

BRIDAL HAIR AND MAKEUP BOOKINGS

Once your booking request has been sent via the following form below, we will get in contact with you as soon as possible with an invoice of the full amount owing. All bridal party hair and makeup or any other event bookings require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50% to secure your reservation. If this initial payment is not received within 7 days, your date will not be held for you. A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required to cancel your booking. Please use your invoice number as a reference when making the payment. Once the deposit has been processed, it is subtracted from your total balance, and a second invoice will be sent with the remaining balance to be paid in full by the day. IF SOMEONE DOES NOT SHOW FOR THEIR APPOINTMENT, THE MONEY IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

LATE ARRIVALS: We charge R750 per hour per stylist for any delays to the appointment.

WE CHARGE PER HOUR THAT YOU ARE LATE TO THE APPOINTMENT.

HAIR AND MAKEUP APPOINTMENTS

All hair and makeup appointments and bridal trials require a 50% deposit, then the remaining 50% is to be paid in full either a week prior or in cash on the day. All deposits are non-refundable and therefore will not be refunded in the case of a cancellation; however, at our discretion, we may refund your deposit depending upon the circumstances.

Your deposit can be transferred to another booking for yourself; this must be used in the 3 months following. See paragraph 5 under cancellations.

For groups of 3 or more, a 50% deposit (non-refundable & non-transferable) is required to secure your booking, including the travel fee. If this payment is not received within 7 days, your date and time will not be held for you. The deposit is subtracted from your total balance, and the remaining cost is to be paid in full via bank transfer or in cash on the day.

Please arrive at your appointment on time, with a completely clean, makeup-free, and moisturized face, and un-styled, clean hair.

PAYMENT

Once your deposit has been received to the nominated account, you will receive a confirmation email (for single bookings), or an invoice will be sent to your email (for group and bridal bookings). The balance stated is to be finalized by the due date or on the day of your hair and makeup appointment or wedding booking. Accepted payment types include Direct Deposit into the nominated account and cash. If choosing Direct Deposit, please email proof of payment to edgebeautysa@gmail.com.

CANCELLATIONS

ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Outside of the 5 days leading up to your booking, your deposit can be transferred to another booking for yourself, which must be used within 3 months. If for any reason you need to cancel your hair and makeup application, please notify us as per the cancellation policy. We will reschedule your booking where possible.

If within 4 weeks of your wedding date, the number of persons requiring hair and makeup decreases from what was originally booked, you will be charged in full for each person cancelled.

If you cancel without proper notice or fail to show up on the day of your appointment, your deposit will not be refunded, and you will be required to pay the remaining balance in full.

Difficult Client & Service Provider Right to Cancel: At Edge Beauty, we take pride in providing high-quality hair and makeup services. However, we reserve the right to cancel a booking if:

  • A client becomes excessively difficult, unreasonable, or disrespectful toward our team.

  • After two trials, we determine that we cannot meet the client’s expectations or achieve their desired look.

If we cancel under these circumstances, we will refund all payments except for the cost of completed trials and any non-refundable deposit.

TRIALS & REVISIONS POLICY

We offer one bridal trial as part of the bridal package. If the client is not satisfied after the first trial, we may offer one additional trial at no charge at our discretion. If we determine that the first trial did not meet expectations due to our own error, the second trial will be complimentary. However, if we find that the client is being excessively difficult or indecisive, the second trial will be charged at the standard trial rate. Any further trials beyond the second will also be charged at the standard rate.

TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION & PARKING

A.A rates apply to all destination bookings and mobile services. Any area outside of Nelspruit (Mbombela) is an additional cost per kilometer (A.A rates), there and back. The client is responsible for organizing parking where necessary and covering all costs, including accommodation where required.

For services booked more than 250km from Edge Beauty’s studio, clients are required to provide accommodation rated 3 stars or higher for our team. Additionally, meals should be provided. If a wedding is out of town and requires an early start (6 AM or 7 AM), we will stay overnight the evening before.

If travel exceeds 3 hours from our home address, we may request you to book accommodation the night before to prevent any travel-related issues.

OTHER FEES

  • Early start fee of R200 applies to every hour before 6 AM.

  • Public Holiday bookings incur a 20% surcharge.

  • Call-out fees may apply. They are included in most travel fees depending on the season.

Hair Extension Rental

Applicable to all rentals made through Edge Beauty

At Edge Beauty, we offer a convenient hair extension rental service for special occasions such as weddings and events. Please read the following terms carefully before booking your rental.

Rental Fee & Deposit

  • The rental fee for hair extensions is R500.

  • A refundable deposit of R1000 is required to secure the booking. This deposit is refunded in full once the extensions are returned on time and in good condition.

Rental Period

  • Hair extensions must be returned within 2 to 3 business days after the event date (e.g., wedding day).

  • Extensions must be returned clean, untangled, and in good reusable condition.

Late Returns & Damages

  • If the extensions are not returned within 3 business days, Edge Beauty reserves the right to:

    • Retain the full deposit, and

    • Invoice the client for the full retail value of the hair extensions.

  • If extensions are returned damaged or in a condition that renders them unusable, part or all of the deposit may be withheld to cover replacement costs.

Important Notes

  • The deposit and rental fee must be paid in full before the rental can be confirmed.

  • By proceeding with a rental, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

We require information on whether the client has allergies or sensitivities. While we use professional-grade products that are safe for sensitive skin, please inform us if you have any specific allergies, skin conditions, or if you are unwell (e.g., fever or illness).

All brushes, tools, and hair and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every application.

All personal information is kept confidential and securely stored electronically, accessible only to authorized personnel.

PHOTOGRAPHS & MEDIA CONSENT

Zuandri Jonker (Edge Beauty) may photograph/record you at your consultation and wedding day. These images may be used for social media and portfolio purposes. If you do not wish to have your photos taken/used for marketing, please inform us in writing.
